Every business and organization takes on projects! Projects are simply temporary endeavors that intend to produce a new product, service, or process for your your business. This could be implementing new software, creating a new service line, or refining a new or existing process within a department, such as human resources, finance, etc. With a few basic skills and tools in project management, you can be a successful project manager (even if that's not your title). Most of us wear many hats in our organizations and we touch many different moving parts of the organization everyday. Let me help you to simplify project management, so you can stress less and focus on your priorities more! This course will cover the basic process areas in project management, which is also known as the Project Life Cycle. This cycle includes the following processes: - Initiating a project - this covers how to set-up your project for success - Planning a project - this will cover best practices of planning and how to create a project plan to guide the project work - Execute - this will cover how to officially begin the project work; how to communicate with your team and other stakeholders; and how to build-in accountability for the work that needs to be completed - Monitor & Controlling the quality and requirements of the project - this process ensures that you are able to check quality of work as the project progresses; and that all requirements are being being met and are held to the expected standard. There is nothing worse than getting to the end and finding out that the work was complete... but incorrectly so! - Closing the project - this is the process that officially ends the project. You will be able to wrap-up the project, debrief with your team and other stakeholders, document what went well and what could be improved next time around, and celebrate the project's successful completion. Yes, we will guide through the steps to "Toot Your Own Horn!" We encourage celebration for your team and your business!
